Glenwood Beach & Claredon Beach Park Kiteboarding near Keswick

Kiting activities: Water kite boarding, snow kiting, windsurfing.
Rider skills/level: Not beginner friendly! Intermediate and advanced riders must be able to launch from water and have self-rescue experience.
Water conditions: Flat and shallow for about 50m, cooler in spring and fall, but warmer in summer. Gets weedy by fall. There are some rocks and zebra mussels on the bottom, so please wear protective footwear.
Wind direction: The best winds for this spot are SW, W, NW. North wind can be gusty. Winds, such as SE, E, S, NE are very gusty and can only be used for winter snowkiting. Watch the wind forecast.

Kite Launching Instructions

There is a small area along the fence (south of playground) for kite setup. Stay far from willow trees that can be dangerous for kites to land on. Get assisted launch or self-launch from water.

How to get here: These locations are very accessible from Toronto. Both are just a few minutes away from the HWY 404, in Keswick.
Parking: Free parking along the road. Please follow signs and restrictions. Local police have ticketed cars parked for over 2hrs.
Rules: Please respect the locals. Do not litter in the park and stay away from kids playground!
